Hilary Summerscales I have been a member of the Mannin Art Group for 17 years. I have served on the Committee in several roles most recently as Chairman (for seven years) and now as President. Before having a family I worked in advertising in London as an art buyer and as a manager of a commercial art studio. These jobs gave me great experience in critical art appreciation and techniques. I have enjoyed drawing all my life and early on concentrated on pen work. I am now more inclined to pastels and watercolour (landscapes, flowers and still life) using my pens for sketching. I am also a member of the Isle of Man Art Society and a past member of the Sunningdale and Virginia Water Art Societies.
