I joined Mannin Art Group at the end of the last century. I derive source material from the landscape initially recording it in my sketchbook and camera. I then go home and ponder. Pondering takes up considerably more time than painting. A distant background in photography (fish-eye lenses) and an inability to look at things from a fixed viewpoint (can't sit still for very long) could be the explanation of my interpretation of the world around me. But who knows?
